The first time I met Tricia and Reed was at an Edina Caribou last June. Of course right away I noticed they’re both gorgeous! But after talking with them for just a few minutes, I absolutely loved the conversation and just feeling like I was hanging with friends, so quickly after meeting them. They are SO sweet and compassionate. Both have great careers, but yet their priorities in life are their family and their faith. They had gotten engaged in May and were having an October wedding at Camrose Hill Farm in Stillwater. When they told me they had met with about 25 photographers already, I’ll be honest, I thought I had no chance! But they said they wanted someone to tell the story of their day through candid shots capturing the joy, love, and gratitude of family, friends and fun. And that’s EXACTLY what I love and strive to do. So I prayed! 🙂 And 2 hours later, when Tricia emailed me saying they wanted to book, I’m pretty sure I screamed!! We had such a fun time at their engagement session a couple weeks later. Baker Park Reserve is a spot that they like to go walking, running, etc. (They’re a very active couple. Reed even proposed to Tricia halfway through a run while at their cabin!) The weather was beautiful for their engagement session and we had a great time laughing and talking, until the mosquitoes attacked! Then we laughed harder, finished shooting and ran to our cars!! I just love the way these two love each other. And wait til you see their wedding! That’ll be on the blog in a couple more weeks!
