St Paul Senior Photos at a Payne Avenue record shop

One of my favorite things about seniors is how unique all of their personalities are. This St Paul senior photo session with Baylie was a great example. When I heard Baylie loved music, especially “old” music, I knew I wanted to find something really cool for her. Caydence Records and Coffee was the PERFECT spot!! They have so many records to choose from, a quaint and cozy little sitting area, coffee drinks, bakery treats, and they serve breakfast and lunch. Not to mention they have live music sometimes. And the staff was so amazing!

Seeing Baylie’s eyes light up when she would find a record by someone she loved was so fun! And we had to grab a few photos by the mural on the outside of the building. Adding her leather jacket in, of course!

From Payne Avenue we drove a few miles to downtown Stillwater to finish the session. There are so many fun spots to choose from down there, and Baylie wanted a little “city vibe” added to her session. We also ended the session with some photos of her in her softball uniform. I always encourage, if you have played a sport or been in any type of activity for a while, grab a few photos of it. You put the time and energy into it (and your parents probably put money into it, lol). So, even if you think it’s not something you want, acknowledge it with a couple photos at the end.

I absolutely loved Baylie’s style and personality! And then to top it off, she’s GORGEOUS!! And she dyed her hair less than 24 hours before the shoot!! (I do not recommend this, lol! But she NAILED it!!) This session will be one of my faves for a long time!

My best tip for senior photos…be yourself. Incorporate who YOU are into your session. You deserve it. For more senior shoot inspo, go HERE.
