Lake Superior Wedding in Duluth

When Rachel told me they would be having their wedding along the shore of Lake Superior in Duluth, in March, I was both excited and a little bit nervous. If you know March in Minnesota, Mother Nature can be a little undependable. We could have 10 foot swells and very frigid conditions. A very different weather day than what we had at their Park City, Utah engagement session. But what we ended up with, was nothing short of an absolute dream! There was a hazy sun hanging over the glass like water of Lake Superior. There were no waves and no blustery winds. It was just absolute beauty from the start of the day to end.

Rachel and Austin got ready at the Pier B hotel in Duluth. Rachel’s stunning gown from A & Be Bridal looked like it was made just for her. The ceremony took place at Brighton Beach, just north of downtown Duluth. With only their immediate families and grandparents there, they shared the most beautiful handwritten vows with each other. I have honestly never seen anything more romantic. Once the ceremony was over, they popped a cooler and everyone raised a beer to toast the new Mr. & Mrs. Nastrom! Before they headed out for the 2 hour drive to their reception, we grabbed some portraits along the lakeshore. Rachel and Austin, your love story is one of my favorites of all time. And being there on your wedding day is something I will never forget. Love you both! XOXO
