Chris & Hannah | Wintry Fall Wedding | Hope Glen Farm

Such a year of emotional highs and lows for brides and grooms. But I can say with all honesty, I have seen the most magical, dreamy, emotional weddings ever this year. And Chris and Hannah are no exception.

They were married in a tiny gathering of 9 people total (counting myself and them), during quarantine, on May 1st. They pushed their larger gathering to October 25th, because of course we all thought at that time the pandemic would be over by now. Ha! While it still wasn’t as large as originally planned, it was definitely an incredible celebration. Eryka and her staff at Hope Glen Farm did an amazing job of coordinating the day, making everything look stunning, while also keeping everyone safe.

Since they did a first look, Hannah wanted to do something special for her walk down the aisle. So she had a secret addition to her dress. A beautiful tulle and jeweled skirt that she put on right before walking down the aisle. Chris saw her. And cried. And after the ceremony she said she was glad he liked the surprise. He had no idea. He cried because his wife was walking down the aisle. He never even noticed the dress! So if you’re wondering, first looks do not take anything away from the walk down the aisle.

There were more surprises as the day went on. Such as the father of the bride having secretly learned how to play the guitar over the last year, so that he could play a song at the wedding. Even his wife didn’t know! And Hannah surprised her husband by singing a song for him as well.

The snow was not part of the plan, but it made everything look so beautiful! So no matter what the plan was originally, this day could not have been more amazing. One of the best parts of the emotional rollercoaster of 2020, has been getting to spend more time with my brides and grooms. Here’s to many, many years of dancing and laughing through life together, Chris and Hannah! XOXO
