Ashley and Colin | A Winter Wedding | Rush Creek Golf Club

Ashley and Colin met in high school, but it wasn’t exactly love at first sight.  A very good mutual friend of theirs, Dan, got them together a couple years later though and they’ve been pretty inseparable ever since.  Their fun bantering between each other is something that can make Ashley’s eyes get huge, and cause her to give Colin a “look” one second, but then have her doubling over laughing the next!  One thing I heard several times from friends and family members was how much fun they are to be around!  And I certainly agree!

For a bride and groom who aren’t necessarily fans of winter, they sure knew how to throw a beautiful winter wedding!  Saturday’s high temp was forecasted to be 7 degrees, and that’s without factoring in the wind chill.  There were moments outside when we were pretty sure we couldn’t feel our fingers anymore!

The beautiful ceremony was performed by a very close friend, Harch Singh, and the horse and sleigh were a huge surprise for the them from their parents and wedding party! It was so magical!!  Then when I dragged them outside for “just 2 more minutes because the sunset is so beautiful”, I’m pretty sure Ashley was giving me that look she gives Colin sometimes!  But they didn’t hesitate and went out the door with me again!  There were beautiful toasts, delicious cupcakes made by a friend, s’mores to roast over a fire and lots of dancing into the night with their awesome DJ, Matt Kotefka.  It was definitely a day to remember!
