Sami and Bob met in high school and after 10 years of dating, their wedding day was here! The forecast all week had called for rain, but Sami was focused on becoming Bob’s wife. She had mentioned during the planning stages that she couldn’t care less about the “big wedding things”, she wanted “the union more than anything else”. The rain held off until almost the end of family portraits and while we did a couple shots under umbrellas in the rain, Sami then laughed at the craziness, as we ran for cover into the winery. If you’re going to have to run for cover, a winery is pretty much the best place to be, right? The owners of Cracked Barrel Winery, Dan and Kristen, had done everything they could to make this day magical. The vineyard was so pretty and the patio, trees, and ceremony site were all breathtaking.
Sami was so beautiful, and I loved all of the touching details she had. Her hanky had actually been her baby bonnet, she had a pearl necklace that was made with the pearls that her grandmother had given her throughout her life on special occasions, and her purse was from her grandpa. It’s the little things like these that make my heart melt. And as the day went on, it was obvious that everything was going exactly as it should, and Sami and Bob were husband and wife. Surrounded by family and friends, the day was everything they had dreamed. Congratulations Sami and Bob! I loved being a part of your day, and I hope you have many, many years of laughter and love together! XOXO
